Co-Brokerage Policy:   Many of our listings are available for co-brokerage and have the industry standard 10 percent commission . Feel free to present these boats to your clients knowing you will be paid a commission with a successful sale. We do not have a standard commission split. What we do instead of a standard commission split policy is to keep on file the split you offer us, and will expect to get this same split if we sell one of your listings. For example, if you offer us a 60/40 split we expect the same if we sell one of your listings.

By Owner Yachts is committed to preserving the integrity of the yacht brokerage industry. We are firmly against open listings and will not accept them. We encourage the rest of the brokerage community to take this stance too. As brokers, we know how a central listing benefits the seller… convincing sellers of this is a different story. Our industry will become more effective and productive for all involved if we only accept central listings. Your sellers will appreciate it too, as they will get the attention they deserve.

Do not mistake us for a "discount" brokerage company. In fact, we adhere strictly to the 10% commission policy as set by the yacht brokerage industry for our MLS Plan. Our 3% Plan is a whole different service altogether, and should be considered as such. The 3% Plan is intended to provide sellers all the tools of a broker, and have their sale completely managed by a broker, but utilizing the owner to show their own boat. The 3% Plan should be considered a lesser service for a lesser fee.
